Hey guys - it's Jack, the CEO of Magic Eden. I wanted to write a long post to share our vision at Magic Eden. Soon on Magic Eden, you'll be able to trade all assets on all chains in 1 app. Think Binance/Coinbase but fully onchain. $ME will be a growth engine for our app.
I was inspired to create 5 growth principles called MAGIC to share what we're building & why transparently. MAGIC serves as a shared foundation for us to build trust and have real conversations around a collective goal.
Our MAGIC principles are:

1: [M]ake crypto easier for everyone
Today, innovation lives onchain. However, onchain is too complex & the whole industry is moving towards even more complexity–more chains, more dapps & wallets that basically do the same thing. The growth of our industry is hindered by this fragmentation and duplication.
Magic Eden will make crypto easier via:
- Mobile-native experiences ($ME will help us show off what we’ve been cooking)
- Easy onboarding (sign up with email, easy onramp, cool rewards)
- Simple, familiar UI to make onchain feel safe and fun
- 1 app to trade digital assets on all major chains, which brings us to our 2nd principle
2: [A]ll assets, all chains, 1 app
Magic Eden will be on 10 chains by the end of the year. Beyond NFT trading, we will have Solana token trading, Runes trading, and cross chain swaps. Mobile and desktop. Instead of downloading different trading dApps and wallets on each chain, you will have the convenience of trading all crypto in 1 place. One app for you to discover the best opportunities across chains.
That means the $ME community will nurture a broad, cross-chain onchain economy and represent the entire crypto ecosystem.
3: [G]row the Space
Crypto finally has mainstream recognition (ETFs), fast protocols (SOL, L2s), and smooth onboarding (embedded wallets and comprehensive fiat on ramp). A normie, mobile friendly app for anyone to onramp and trade crypto will naturally grow the space. Our platform should feel even more seamless than CEXs.
$ME will then serve as an incentive layer to continuously help onboard, engage, and reward all Magic Eden users.
4: [I]n it for the long term
To reflect our long term commitment to MAGIC, Magic Eden’s founders will lock their tokens until at least 18 months after TGE. To create aligned incentives with the community, Magic Eden’s $ME integration will also reward the most long term continuous users of our platform.
5: [C]ommunity transparency
Our team’s job is to deliver the most elite trading platform onchain, and we want the community to enjoy the product, offer us feedback, and help us grow more users. To build in public, we will host regular community calls.
